Description
We are looking for a qualified Safety Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This position is responsible for improving the overall safety of the workplace, as well as coordinating and implementing safety procedures related to OSHA.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Planning health and safety programs and protocols.
- Teaching and training company leaders on health and safety standards.
- Ensuring compliance with OSHA, federal and state regulations.
- Conducting risk assessments to gather information on safety non-compliances.
- Ensuring that employees consistently follow safety protocols.
- Aid in the implementation of ISO 45001:2018 for occupational health and safety management systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, engineering, or related field.
- Understanding of OSHA guidelines and other regulations.
- Familiarity with the existing safety risks in a manufacturing plant.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills. Bilingual English/Spanish ideal.
- Team oriented with the ability to work independently as needed.
