Description

The Logistics Specialist role is responsible for logistics planning and scheduling for all plants and DC's in the US, in efforts to meet the needs of our customers' order in the US.

• Ensure timely delivery of quality products to customers throughout the USA, using LTL, FTL and flat-bed carriers on approved vendor list.
• Call carriers to schedule shipments, meeting ship dates
• Prepare accurate bills of lading and packing slips.
• Communicate with internal teams in various facilities related to transfers, material needs, and inventory levels
• Maintain relationships with freight carriers in order to support our logistics needs with respect to shipping our product to our customers all over the US
• Contact and negotiate with carriers to obtain quotes and services.
• Communicate frequently with customer service and planning department regarding shipping dates and status of orders.
• Examine invoices and shipping manifests for conformity tariff and customs regulations
• Manage in SAP all information related to transportation as quotes, carrier information, etc.
• Resolve all issues related with transportation and carriers
• Other duties as needed

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of related experience working in a transportation function/freight brokerage.
• Bilingual in both English and Spanish required
• High School Diploma or GED
• Proficient computer skills
• High level of integrity and reliability
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Ability and desire to work on-site in office 100% of the time, without hybrid/remote option.
• Detail-oriented with ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
