We have a unique opportunity in our Hospice as a Per Diem Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA). We are looking for individuals who are interested in providing compassionate care to our patients and their loved ones.

Pay rate is $21 / hr which includes patient care time as well as charting time. Mileage reimbursement.

Job Limitations

The Hospice Aide does not function in any manner viewed as the practice of nursing according to the Nurse Practice Act of the state in which hospice care is delivered.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements :

• Eighteen (18) years of age or older.
• Has successfully completed : A training program and competency evaluation as required by federal regulation 418.76 (b)&(c);

or A competency evaluation program as required by the federal regulation 418.76 (c); or A nurse aide training and competency evaluation program approved by the state and meets the requirements of the federal regulations ( 483.

• 151 through 483.154) and is currently listed in good standing on the state nurse aide registry; or A state licensure program;
• Has not had a lapse in work for compensation for the period of 24 consecutive months as a hospice aide or nurse aide.If there has been a 24-month lapse in furnishing services for compensation, the individual must successfully complete another program, as specified above in this section, before providing services.
• Six (6) months of experience in healthcare or completion of the hospice office’s preceptor program
• Hospice experience preferred.
