Interim HealthCare is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team! There is flexibility for this to be a part-time or full time assignment with a minimum of 16 hours/ week required. There is a also a potential for this to become a permanent position. This RN will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and health of our senior residents. The ideal candidate will have experience in geriatric nursing and a passion for providing high-quality care to elderly individuals.
Hourly pay rate: $55-$60//hour
Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive health assessments for residents, including vital signs, medication management, and overall health status monitoring.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and update individualized care plans for residents, addressing their unique healthcare needs.
• Administer medications, ensure proper documentation, and educate residents and their families about medication regimes.
• Provide health education to residents and their families on various topics such as disease management, preventative care, and healthy lifestyle choices.
• Coordinate and communicate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and support staff, to ensure comprehensive and holistic care for residents.
• Respond to medical emergencies promptly and efficiently, following established protocols and providing immediate care as needed.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, documenting all assessments, interventions, and communications related to resident care.
• Work closely with the Director of Nursing, nursing staff, and other team members to maintain a cohesive and supportive care environment.
• Ensure compliance with state regulations, facility policies, and industry standards in the delivery of nursing care.
• Foster open and transparent communication with residents, their families, and staff to promote a positive and collaborative care environment.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current and valid RN license in the state of Minnesota.
• Previous experience in geriatric nursing or a related field is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.
• A compassionate and empathetic approach to working with senior residents.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
• Willingness to work part-time hours with flexibility in scheduling.
