Senior Accountant - Assists in developing and maintaining accounting systems to meet Company goals and ensures that financials are prepared accurately and timely. Improves operational efficiencies by examination of systems to ensure proper accounting procedures and controls are being maintained and that all operations are updated as required.

A few must-haves for this position:

• Two-year degree in accounting/finance related field required.
• Two years of accounting/finance related experience required.
• Medicare experience preferred.
• Advanced Excel experience required.

Some Functions of what you would do as a Senior Accountant:

• Manages day-to-day activities of assigned accounting staff for productivity, quality of work, and completion of assigned tasks within established deadlines, including Month End
• Supervises activities specifically associated with month end closings and preparation of related financial reports. Assists in reviewing and verifying the accuracy of month end reports and approve for distribution.
• Oversees the preparation of Medicare, Medicaid and other State financial reports, including the Medicare Cost Report, Hospice Cap Report and Credit Balance Report. Ensures that reports are submitted timely and accurately.
• Achieves budget objectives by monitoring expenditures, analyzing variances and initiating corrective action.
