As a Licensed Practical Nurse, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:
- Care for patients with a variety of illnesses, injuries and diseases in facilities under the supervision of an RN
- Work with a team of LPN, and RN to take care of the everyday clinical needs of the children
- Assist RN school nurse with documentation of clinics intake
- Administer medication when needed
A few must-haves for Licensed Practical Nurses:
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program and active LPN license in VA
- Minimum of 6 months of LPN experience
- CPR certification
- Knowledge of state and federal healthcare laws and regulations
- Demonstrated clinical proficiency, critical thinking skills, good communicator and compassionate
