- Counsels and educates the patient and family in meeting healthcare and related needs.
- Completes timely and accurate clinical notes including addressing patient’s progress.
- Communicates with the physician and other staff of changes in the patient’s needs.
- Able to perform CPR.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to effectively communication, both orally and in writing, with clinical and non-clinical personnel
- Able to read and interpret technical instructions related to the care of the patient.
- Able to effectively deal with multiple changes based on patient needs and scheduling.
- Proven organizational skills and detail oriented.
- Ability to effectively communication, both orally and in writing, with clinical and non-clinical personnel.
- Trach and Vent experience a PLUS.
- IV and Infusion experience a PLUS.
- Pediatric experience a PLUS.
- Appropriate license to practice in the State of Delaware.
- At least six (6) months experience within the last five (5) years working in a hospital, home care or nursing home setting within the United States.
- CPR certified.
- Negative TB test result.
- Pass a background check.
- Provide two (2) professional references.
- Able to travel to cases throughout New Castle County as assigned.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Meets the requirements of federal and/or state criminal and abuse background checks.
