About the Team

The Digital Experiences Design and Development team

We are part of the Customer and Digital Experiences (CDX) marketing group. We are made up of designers, marketers, and technologists who collaborate to create engaging experiences for visitors and drive our cloud business group.

Our goal

To be the digital catalyst for optimizing our cloud experiences.

Role Description

As a Front-End Developer, you will help create the future of SAP’s digital user experience within an agile, interdisciplinary and international environment.

What you will do

• Develop, test, maintain, and improve web pages and page components on SAP.com and other SAP webl properties
• Develop front-end experiences to be used in ongoing A/B and multivariate testing on our properties
• Collaborate effectively with design team colleagues, translating their design specifications into working code and asking questions, when necessary, for clarification
• Evaluate different technical approaches to achieving target designs and select an approach based on its feasibility, performance and ease of maintenance
• Document your work, so that other developers can learn from it, and it can be leveraged in future efforts

What you bring

Education

• Current student with 1-2 years of experience in front-end web development
• Experience working in an agile environment
• Excellent English language skills

Desired:

• BSc in Computer Science (or equivalent/in process)
• Experience working on a large digital media or e-commerce website
• Experience with basic user experience design principles

Experience(s) and other requirements:

• You are self-motivated and a problem solver. You can be handed a task and enjoy following it to completion.
• You know that there are many ways to solve a problem, but like the challenge of finding the best one.
• You understand that what makes the best solution is not always the same and can adapt based on the requirements of each project.
• You are not afraid to ask for help or clarification and do not hesitate to offer help to others.
• You are able to give and receive constructive feedback as part of a supportive and respectful team culture.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE

This is desired to be a full-time, remote position. The current team has members that stretch from Central European to U.S. Pacific time zones, so the candidate must be willing and able to meet during early U.S. Pacific/early evening Central European hours.

Compensation Range Transparency : SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the hourly base salary rate range applicable for the posted role. The targeted range for this position is 15 - 62(USD) USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidates will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process.
