Intercontinental Exchange is Hiring a Business Analyst Near Atlanta, GA

Overview

Job Purpose

Business Analysts lead the analysis, documentation, and management of business requirements throughout the project lifecycle. They ensure that requirements will meet the objectives of the business and are fully understood by internal stakeholders and partners before solutions are designed and implemented.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, product owners, and development teams to gather and understand business requirements for software projects
  • Translate business needs into clear, concise user stories with detailed acceptance criteria for the development team
  • Prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring it reflects the most up-to-date requirements and aligns with business goals
  • Bridge the gap between the development team and stakeholders, facilitating Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
  • Identify areas for process improvement within Agile methodologies and recommend enhancements to increase efficiency and productivity
  • Foster collaboration among cross-functional teams, ensuring a shared understanding of requirements and promoting effective communication
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including process flows, user guides, and other relevant project artifacts
  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure that user stories meet acceptance criteria and contribute to the overall quality of the product
  • Identify and assess project risks, working proactively to mitigate potential issues that may impact project delivery
  • Analyze data to derive insights that support decision-making, including user behavior analysis, market trends, and performance metrics
  • Engage and manage relationships with stakeholders to ensure their needs are understood and incorporated into the software development process
  • Adapt quickly to changing project requirements, adjusting priorities and strategies as needed within the Agile framework
  • Identifies and implements best practices and suggest how to improve current practices

Knowledge and Experience

  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodology
  • Proven experience creating user stories, acceptance criteria, design documentation, process flows, and wireframes
  • Critical, analytical thinking and excellent communication skills
  • Strong ability to collaborate
  • Residential Lending experience is highly desirable
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required
  • 2 years of relevant software industry experience required
  • Previous mortgage or financial experience highly desirable

Schedule

This role offers work from home flexibility of up to 2 days per week.
