INTERCON CONSTRUCTION INC. is Hiring an Employment Coordinator Near Waunakee, WI

Under the general supervision of the HR Manager, the Employment Coordinator is responsible for posting field positions, reviewing and assessing field applicants’ fit based upon competencies, conducting phone interviews for multiple openings, and referring applicants to the HR Manager and/or Hiring Manager making the hiring decisions. This position will represent the company in a highly professional manner to all applicants, customers, and InterCon team members.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

· Completes new hire paperwork for new field employees including conducting the pre-employment background screening and drug testing. Reviews various safety and company policies and procedures with new employees. Administers pre-employment testing.

· Assists the HR Manager with job postings on selected online sites for best and effective penetration of applicants.

· Conducts preliminary review of applicant resumes and/or employment applications to determine if applicant’s experience and skills meet position requirements.

· Interviews applicants via the telephone for openings throughout Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois, Michigan, and nationwide.

· Creates, implements, and manages creative sourcing methodologies.

· Maintains a constant and steady focus on local marketplaces to determine and develop effective recruiting strategies.

· Attends career fairs in the surrounding areas to attract new applicants.

· Makes hiring recommendation to the Hiring Manager and management team.

· Monitors a variety of HR metrics and produces weekly reports to reflect progress on open and filled position.

· Makes recommendations for improvements/changes to the interview process.

· Assists the HR Manager as assigned.

· Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS

· Bachelor’s degree in HR Management, Construction Management, or related field required.

· Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in applicant screening and phone interviewing techniques in a fast-paced environment.

· Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a construction HR setting is preferred.

· Knowledge of Federal and State laws and regulations pertaining to employment including ADA, EEO, DOL, etc.

· Understanding of HR best practices relating to recruitment and staffing.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS

· Must portray an upbeat, pleasant attitude and demonstrate a passion for HR.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office required. Familiarity with applicant tracking software and methods preferred.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

· Effective listening skills and the ability to document applicant responses.

· Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and supervisors.

· Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.

· Willingness to travel occasionally.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
