Job Summary:
The program supervisor is responsible for the overall management of the program. This includes maintaining excellent faculty through hiring, training, and conducting classroom observations. The position is also responsible for resolving issues that may hinder student retention, and overall development and continuous improvement of the program. This position may also be required to fulfill instructor duties.
Essential Duties:
Secondary Duties:
· Collaborate on curriculum revision and implementation of current and new curricula.
· Assist in the purchasing of training vehicles for use by students
· Build training vehicles for student use as needed
· Supervise campus at night including management issues that may arise
· Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
This position requires medium work, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds while frequently lifting up to 20 pounds. Instruction requires standing for long periods of time (up to 5 hours at a time), expressing complex topics through speech, sufficient vision to write notes for instruction, and hearing to interact with students. The worker is exposed to chemicals, chemical smells, and loud noises in the workplace. The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
Working Hours
Full-Time, salaried position with 40-hour work week flexible within the hours of 8:30 am – 10:00 pm Monday – Thursday, and 8am - 5pm on Friday, depending on needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education : Associate’s degree in Automotive Technology or related field
Experience : 5 years (minimum 10,000 hours) of experience in Automotive Repair or a related field, and 1 years of instructional or training experience
