POSITION OVERVIEW

Intelligent Living Solutions is a cutting edge automation technology company, bringing the newest in “smart” automation technology to commercial and residential markets. Technicians are responsible for the installation and programing of these systems. Individuals will be responsible for directing their own projects, which may include managing others.

Daily activities may include installing security systems, electrical wiring and systems, testing and inspecting systems to determine if repairs are needed, programming and installing components (access controls, security, speakers, cameras, smart home technology…etc.)

This is a full-time position with occasional overtime. Most work is performed Monday through Friday with the potential for some evening and weekend work. Occasional overnight travel is expected. The position offers 30-50 hours per week depending on workload.

Two years experience installing security systems is required; additional experience in any of the following areas is a plus:

• Installation and programming of audio/visual equipment
• Installation and programming of security, camera, or smart home systems
• Installation of electrical wiring
• Diagnosing and repairing electrical problems
• Operating hand and power tools associated with electrical work

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Able to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
• Able to climb ladders and scaffolding
• Able to work in small spaces and on uneven surfaces
• Frequently required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Ability to use general hand and power tools; ability to decipher colors
• Valid insurable driver’s license
• Pass an alcohol/drug screening; pass a criminal background check
• Transportation and the ability to report directly to job sites and/or the office
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team is required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week
