IntelliChoice Home Care is Hiring a Medication Technician, Med Tech Near Chapel Hill, NC

Job Title: Medication Technician, Med Tech
Branch Location: Staffing

Job Location: Raleigh/Durham Area

Hours / Shifts:

Monday-Friday 7a-3p, 3p-11p and 11p-7a
Sat/Sun 7a-7p and 7p-7a
Full-time employees are required to work every other weekend

Duties:

Meals cooked and served on both 1^st and 2nd shift
All ADL's and IADL's are shared between staff with exception of Medication management.
Laundry, Housekeeping, Sanitization
Activities and Engagement
For 3^rd shift, the focus is on safety, toileting every 2 hrs, medication management, morning preparation and deep cleaning common areas. The goal is to start getting residents up for the day and follow shower schedules.

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years as a Med Tech
Current Med Tech Certification
15 Hour Med Aide Training
Maintain CEU’s
Ability to participate in physical activity
Ability to do extensive bending, lifting and standing on a regular basis
Heavy Lifting 30lbs. minimum

Professional Skills:

Ability to provide direct medication administration to others
Ability to read physician orders
Know the components of a proper medication order
Demonstrate good judgment and problem-solving
Able to read and interpret policies
He/She must maintain confidentiality, be a critical thinker, as well as being concise and detail-oriented

Additional Documents:

Driver's License
Social Security Card
Current CPR
2-Step TB test within the past 12 months
