Intellibee is Hiring an Application Architect III Near Madison, WI

The Department of Natural Resources, DNR IT Custom Applications section seeks to hire a SharePoint Developer in support of the External Services Division to design, develop and maintain applications in SharePoint. These applications currently exist in the SharePoint platform and will need various form updates as required by the state legislator. The primary focus of this position will be to design, develop, test, implement and maintain our Water ePermitting system which is built using SharePoint (On Prem version 2016).

The most qualified candidate will have:

  • Application development skillsets including Analysis and Development using SharePoint Designer and Workflows
  • Experience with creating and modifying SharePoint Search
  • Experience integrating SharePoint with Third Party tools using .NET, C# and API’s.
  • Experience designing and processing forms using Qdabra, Infopath or equivalent.
  • Coding Experience in .NET Framework, C#, ASP.Net MVC, Entity Framework, Web API, JavaScript, BootStrap
  • Experience with Oracle including SQL, including integrating with applications using Oracle backend databases.
  • Experience applying Standard Security methods to custom applications.
  • Experience creating and calling REST or SOAP APIs.
  • Experience working in Visual Studio as well as Azure DevOps including keeping work items updated in addition to code management.
  • Experience with coding standards and best practices.
  • Experience with testing tasks such as identifying test scenarios, test data setup, execution, and documenting test results.
  • Experience utilizing the Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and following IT Best Practices
  • Experience following Waterfall or Iterative/Agile/Scrum Methodologies for completing projects from Initiation through Implementation and Maintenance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Collaborates with others and is a team player to ensure project success.

Additional skillsets that will also be helpful:

  • Experience with Okta or other forms of Authentication
  • Experience writing technical documentation.
  • Experience with GIS, especially Esri JavaScript APIs.
  • Experience working in Government

This position will work at the direction of the DNR IT Supervisor, Application Architect, Business Relationship Manager, Project Manager, and program Leads, utilizing DNR IT standards, software and tools. Tasks of this position include, but are not limited to:

Orienting self to applications by working with the current developer who maintains the system. Identifying a solution/design working in collaboration with project team members. Adding and Updating forms using DNR standards and guidance for best coding and database practices, adhering to security requirements. This includes any integrations with other systems. Testing the applications by documenting scenarios and test results using DNR approved tools and processes. Managing code and version control using Azure DevOps and other code libraries Assisting with deploying SharePoint solutions and creating service requests. Working on priority tasks and keeping tasks updated with current status in Azure DevOps. Providing input on estimates/timeline for tasks. Implementation of user interface changes/bug fixes based on feedback from team, users and testers. Creating and maintaining clear and up to date documentation for the project’s configuration and code base. Participate in DOA SharePoint meetings and DNR team meetings Evaulating change control notices and its impacts of the current system. Communicating issues to mitigate risks

Developer must follow DNR standards and procedures for management and versioning of source code, file management and change management processes. The developer must look out for security concerns or issues when developing applications and follow security related protocols. Applications must be built and supported in compliance with Federal and State requirements.
