These activities are designed to help people build meaningful lives, in which they can experience health and well-being, pursue effective education and gainful employment, and access the resources required to create ever-expanding opportunities for themselves and their broader communities.About the PositionThe Milken Institute is seeking an Associate to join our dynamic Outreach & Engagement team within the Events Department This position will report to the Associate Director of Events, Outreach & Engagement, and collaborate interdepartmentally with colleagues in Events, Business and Program Development, Marketing & Communications, and Technology. The Associate will support event-related data, conducting regular data quality control and helping enhance policies on data management and support efforts to analyze data and provide key insights to inform event strategy. Additionally, the Associate will champion processes and lead data-related workflows, helping manage event data and integrity across multiple platforms.ResponsibilitiesData Management: Collect and compile data related to events, including attendee lists, registration information, speaker profiles, and event materials. Maintain event databases and ensure they are organized, up-to-date, and easily accessible for the Events department.Collaboration: Drive data-related workflows between MI centers and departments to ensure data is being effectively used to inform event planning and strategy. Work cohesively with Event department colleagues to always have timely and accurate information and in analyzing reports and data to ensure integration and organization amongst all convenings.Analysis: Create reports and synthesize data to offer insights, recommendations, and plans of action to maximize the impact of Institute events and programs. Lead and analyze customer research efforts, including online surveys, etc.Process Development: Identify opportunities for process improvements to streamline data collection and management, staying current with best practices in data management and administration and potentially providing training to team members on data-related processes.Insight Generation: Use data analysis techniques to uncover meaningful insights and trends related to event performance, attendee behavior, and progress toward department goals.Outreach & Engagement Support : As a member of the Outreach & Engagement team, you may support other areas of our work including small and large event support and other needs as they arise.Qualifications Bachelors Degree required.3 years of relevant work experience within a database management, data analytics, or similar role.Experience with Salesforce, or other CRM experience is required.Highly Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) and the ability to learn new software tools.Meticulous attention to detail and ability to thrive in a deadline-oriented, fast-paced environment while juggling multiple projects and adapting to changing event requirements.Ability to validate, interpret, and organize data and present it in a clear manner.Willing team player who can speak with clarity to leadership.Motivated self-starter and hard worker displaying high productivity and follow-through in all areas of responsibility, including maintaining and updating templates and reports from year to year.Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.Working Conditions & Travel RequirementsThis position will work in a professional office environment. This person will also be required to travel occasionally to other offices and/or venues to assist with events as needed, requiring occasional work outside of traditional hours. Additionally, this position requires interacting virtually on a regular basis with Milken Institute staff based in other locations in the United States and around the world.NoteWe are interested in qualified candidates who are eligible to work in the United States.
