Role: Senior Embedded Project Engineer

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the entire lifecycle of embedded software projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
• Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets using MS Project and VISIO, and monitor progress against milestones and deliverables.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, firmware engineers, and product managers, to define project requirements and specifications.
• Design, develop, and optimize embedded software solutions using programming languages such as C, C , and assembly language for various aerospace applications.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, anticipate challenges, and implement corrective actions to maintain project timelines and budgets.
• Collaborate with external partners and vendors to integrate third-party components and technologies into embedded software solutions if required.
• Conduct feasibility studies, process evaluations, and cost-benefit analyses to support decision-making and project prioritization.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including ISO 9001, AS9100, and FDA regulations, throughout the development process.
• Update status reports, present project status to customers, and work with LTTS project management for consistent customer communication.
• Travel locally onsite to customer facilities several days per week as needed, complying with all customer site requirements and adhering to export control regulations.

Basic Qualifications:

• Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in embedded systems, such as C, C , and assembly language.
• Solid understanding of embedded software development tools, debugging techniques, and version control systems.
• Experience with both real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded Linux platforms.
• Proven experience in project management/engineering, preferably in a regulated industry such as aerospace.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, or FDA regulations.
