Intel's Disaggregation Manufacturing Operation (DMO) is seeking an experienced Engineering Director to lead the Dry Etch manufacturing, engineering, and process development organization in the Fab 11X facility. Candidates must possess strong leadership skills to understand internal and external foundry customer requirements and translate that into roadmaps and factory execution strategies to deliver to commitments. DMO (Disaggregated Manufacturing Organization) will play an important role in Intel's recently announced IDM 2.0 strategy to meet the accelerating global demand for semiconductors. NM DMO F11X runs a diverse process and product line providing solutions for multiple market segments including advanced packaging, silicon photonics, and power management.
The Department Manager is responsible for all aspects of the department's operations including safety, employee development, quality, product velocity, spending, new process development, process transfer, and ramping of new products and technologies. A successful candidate will be a leader who has an established track record of delivering world-class results. This position requires close collaboration with stakeholders across many organizations and departments.
Responsibilities include the following but are not limited to:
- Developing strong Process flow integration knowledge including understanding defect formation/evolution, process integrated defect and yield impacts, demonstrated influence across multifunctional fab groups to drive action
- Maintaining a safety-first culture and injury-free environment that proactively identifies safety issues associated with equipment and processes and responding to employee safety concerns and physical discomfort.
- Ensuring a variety of career and skills development opportunities are available for the organization, as well as building a highly engaged workforce
- Managing a team of technical managers and technologists
- Delivering module continuous improvement roadmaps supporting process development and manufacturing excellence
- Partnering with the Intel factory network and technology development team
- Sustaining quality focus maintaining very high yields and preventing escapes of discrepant materials to downstream operations through proactive identification and mitigation of risks, and root cause analysis and corrective actions for events that impact product quality.
- Meeting established throughput goals required to attain factory commitments.
- Improving overall organizational culture and operational effectiveness.
- Monitoring and controlling spending, staying below target, and delivering reductions over time.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
The candidate must possess a bachelor's degree in engineering or physical science.
5 years of experience in Engineering Management or Manufacturing Management.
5 years of experience in high-volume semiconductor manufacturing and/or semiconductor technology development.
Must be willing to relocate to New Mexico.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in Dry Etch engineering
Experience in process development
Foundry experience
Experience in ramping from startup to high volume manufacturing
