The Direct Support Professional is responsible for supporting client(s) with disabilities in all areas of living in the community. They will be consistently developing methods to increase client independence and interaction through training and appropriate modeling. The DSP will assess and develop teaching plans to assist client(s) in reaching their goals. They will transport client(s) to activities of their choice along with appointments. They will follow regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures. They will be responsible for the health, safety and emotional support of the client(s), and electronically documenting the services and supports provided.

Currently seeking professional self starters that can help manage all aspects of educational and healthy living of person they are supporting .

This position combines case management with direct line work.

Specific Qualities: Educated, high energy, creative, enjoys physical activity indoors and outdoors, music, swimming, YMCA, and other community activities, along with teaching and assistance with daily hygiene and other daily living skills.

Dependable and consistent is a must.

Requirements:Upmost integrity, college education preferred or 1 year experience with references in the field. Clean motor vehicle record and criminal, registry background check.
