Caregiver (Personal Care Technician)

Job Summary:
As a caregiver, you will provide direct support to our residents by promoting personal growth, independence in their homes, community and assist with activities of daily living.
Essential Functions:
· Maintain healthy and professional boundaries with resident and staff.
· Meal planning and preparation.
· Personal care and appearance (e.g., bathing, toileting, transferring, dressing, and exercising) – as needed.
· Passing medications accurately
· Maintain a clean and orderly home environment (e.g., assisting with laundry, trash, and household cleaning).
· Provide problem-solving assistance and companionship.
· Accompany the resident into the community to engage in recreational activities and doctor appointments.
· Maintain records and documentation in the home.
· Ability to work effectively with a team.
· Ability to work independently and remain organized and efficient.
· Participation in job-related trainings, house meetings and supervisory meetings as scheduled
· Assist residents to develop and expand participation in community activities and build relationships with family, friends, and neighbors.
· Comply with HIPAA Privacy Act by protecting confidential consumer information.
· All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

4. Physical ability to reach with hands and arms; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and lift up to 50 lbs. while avoiding potential injury from transferring, repositioning, or lifting residents
Requirements:
1. Must be able to satisfy the post offer requirements (i.e., Wisconsin Caregiver Background, medical screenings, and pre-employment drug screening)
2. Must be able to work weekends (every other Saturday and Sunday is required)
