Integrative Periodontics is Hiring a Dental Assistant Near Manhattan, CA

Overview:
We are seeking to hire a Dental Assistant to fill an immediate opening & find our next long-term team member. Dental experience is not required. A positive attitude, good patient communication skills, and a passion for the dental field is required. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting the dentist during patient procedures and providing exceptional patient care. Our office is a boutique Private Periodontal Practice focusing on excellent and pampering service. We have the latest in Dental Technology.

Recent graduate or no experience is ok. We are willing to train if you are willing to learn. Must be willing to study, be coachable, and be team & patient oriented.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient visits, ensuring cleanliness and organization
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, handing instruments and materials as needed
- Take and mount’ dental x-rays
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
- Perform basic dental laboratory tasks, such as pouring impressions and fabricating stents

- Maintain accurate patient records and update medical history as necessary
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office calendar

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a dental assistant program preferred
- X-ray certification preferred, will provide a learning path if needed
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments preferred, will train if needed
- Proficiency in using dental software systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft preferred
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
- Knowledge of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques preferred, will train

Skills:
- Proficient in medical terminology related to dentistry preferred, will train if needed
- Experience with computer-assisted design (CAD) systems for dental preferred, will train if needed
- Knowledge of medical coding for dental procedures preferred, will train if needed
- Ability to take vital signs accurately preferred, will train if needed.
