Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse - LPN
Location: Springfield, MO
Duration: 3 Months with possible extension.

Work Schedule: Both Days and Nights available, 3*12 shifts

Contract Terms: W2

Job Description:

· Administers personal and therapeutic measures to patients as directed by physicians and/or nurses.

· Prepares and administers medications as prescribed by the physician. May start and administer intravenous fluids and medications after successful completion of approved IV course and skills verification except for intravenous push medications.

· Collects information and data that can assist the Registered Nurse in formulating a patient care plan.

· Inspects equipment and facilities visually and physically to ensure patient safety and proper functioning.

· Maintains current customer service, clinical, and technical skills by attending training programs and seminars to continue level of competency and ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures. Attends and participates in meetings related to clinical activities.

· Demonstrates ability to work cohesively and professionally in an interdisciplinary model with therapy, case management, physician's, laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, quality, food service/dietary, leadership, etc.

· Incorporates factors related to safety into delivery of patient care as directed by the physician.

· Demonstrates respect, courtesy, understanding and tolerance while accomplishing shared goals.

· Meets learning needs of patients and significant others by providing accurate information regarding care during hospitalization including expected outcomes, home care instructions and referrals to appropriate health agencies and resources.

· Responsible for establishing and maintaining learning environment by working effectively with health team members, assisting with care and documentation, and participating in patient care team conferences.

· Documents medication, administration, functional care, intake and output, vital signs, and other patient related measures.

Facility Requirements:

· Must have MO or Multi-State LPN license.

· Must have BLS certification.
