Seeking Full Time or Part time qualified applicants that can work day shift, our current need is 10:00am - 6:30pm Tuesday - Saturday.

Mission/Role: Serves as second responder providing community-based, face-to-face, rapid response to children and adults with behavioral health conditions, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in an active state of crisis. This service operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. MCRS is provided in community settings including, but not limited to: homes, residential settings, other treatment/support settings, schools, hospital emergency departments, jails, and social service settings.

Responsibilities:

· Ensure that Individuals provide informed consent when possible or that clinical rationale is clear if such consent is not obtainable.

· Assist in de-escalating crisis situations through the provision of support to the individual.

· Assist the individual and, when present, family/caregivers in developing a safety plan that provides strategies to the Individual that can be used in the event of future crises.

· Identify and, when possible, link the individual to needed community resources, including medical, psychiatric, autism, and other services, including but not limited to DBHDD services required to meet immediate and/or ongoing needs.

· Explore any existing crisis or behavior plans (including WRAP) and provide feedback about how such a plan may be incorporated into self-care for the individual or encourage follow-up with provider to revise the plan.

· Arrange for transportation to emergency and crisis facilities, (ERs, CSUs, BHCCs, IDD/ASD-specific IDD crisis homes), based upon the safety needs of the individual.

· Provide brief behavioral health and/or intellectual and developmental disability interventions that are focused on de-escalation and linkage to appropriate level of care.

· Complete appropriate and required documentation.

· To support service linkage, follow-up as needed in accordance with established guidelines and standards.

· Communicate and coordinate care with other team members, ensuring the safety of the team, individuals, and the general public.

· Escalate concerns to supervisor or other MCRS leadership when FCC is unable to resolve those concerns effectively and independently.

· Maintain and complete required training; attend mandatory meetings.

· Respond to dispatches and arrive on site in compliance with contract deliverable.

· In accordance with BHL Safe Driving policy (HR 34), maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license.

· Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Qualifications :

Education: High school diploma. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience working with consumers with mental health and/or substance abuse disorders.

Working Conditions: This job requires employees to respond to mobile dispatches throughout the shift, via their own personal vehicle. The position requires frequent in person interaction. The ability to stand, walk, drive, speak and move freely (including navigating stairs) are required. The position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers – including virtual meeting software and various communications applications and smart phones. Bending, lifting, and manipulating objects up to 25 lbs. may be occasionally required. Ability to drive, stand, or walk for up to 8 hours a day outdoors is required.
