Description

Mission/Role: Serves as second responder providing community-based, face-to-face, rapid response to children and adults with behavioral health conditions, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in an active state of crisis. This service operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. MCRS is provided in community settings including, but not limited to: homes, residential settings, other treatment/support settings, schools, hospital emergency departments, jails, and social service settings.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the safety of staff and consumers by assessing consumer sites.
• Prepare daily shift reports and electronic reports on critical incidents as needed.
• Coordinate with Law Enforcement officials for back-up in cases where involuntary transports are needed.
• Establish and maintain professional working relationships with law enforcement professionals while on the job.
• Assist with appropriate paperwork during assessment of consumer, coordinating dispatch, completing follow-up calls and emails as appropriate.
• Provide follow up call within 24 hours of MCRS intervention.
• Respond and arrive on site within 59 minutes of dispatch.

Requirements

High school diploma, bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum of 1 year experience working with consumers with mental health and/or substance misuse disorders.
