This Technician II is part of the Standard Desalt and Tubes Value Stream located in Coralville, IA, and works on-site. At IDT, we are one global team. Shift: Monday - Friday, 11 PM - 7:30 AM In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Synthesize oligonucleotides (oligos) on various synthesizer platforms, cleave and deprotect oligos, quantify and sample oligos for quality control (QC) tests. Attach modifications utilizing various techniques. Use custom software packages to complete tasks and create final products. Assess QC data accurately and make pass/fail decisions for oligos. Keep thorough records of specialized processes in the oligo process history. Prepare oligos for final shipment to customer or for further processing in other departments. Perform decontamination on liquid handling instruments. The essential requirements of the job include: An associate degree in a science related field or at least 18 months of lab experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency in a variety of PC software programs with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office. It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: A bachelor's degree and life sciences experience, preferred. 12 months of lab experience; Life Science work experience. Ability to perform and transition through a variety of tasks with concurrent deadlines daily with urgency and efficiency while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
