Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Surgical Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling surgical procedures, ensuring smooth operations within our medical facility. The ideal candidate will have experience in a dental or medical office setting and possess strong communication skills.

Duties:

- Schedule surgical procedures and coordinate with patients, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals

- Obtain necessary pre-operative documentation and ensure all required paperwork is completed accurately

- Communicate with patients regarding pre-operative instructions, including fasting requirements and medication guidelines

- Coordinate with insurance providers to obtain pre-authorization for surgical procedures

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in electronic medical record systems such as Eaglesoft or eClinicalWorks

- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries from patients, providing exceptional customer service

- Assist with front desk duties such as check-in, check-out, and appointment scheduling

- Collaborate with the medical team to ensure efficient patient flow and timely completion of surgical procedures

- Follow HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times

Qualifications:

- Previous experience working in a dental office, medical office, or surgical setting is preferred

- Familiarity with phone systems and handling high call volumes

- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures related to surgical coordination

- Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems such as Eaglesoft or eClinicalWorks

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
