Director of Data Science

Location: Tysons Corner, VA

Clearance: US Citizen

Integral Federal is hiring a Director of Data Science to support program evaluations, conducts opportunity technical analysis, and identifies and aligns initiatives to broader business goals and objectives. 

Responsibilities

• The Director of Data Science provides a clear direction for the data science function, aligning it with overall business goals and objectives.
• They identify opportunities to leverage data science for competitive advantage and innovation.
• They provide leadership and guidance on data science projects throughout their lifecycle, from problem definition to deployment. They offer deep technical knowledge in areas like machine learning, statistical modeling, data analysis, and big data processing.
• They communicate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for customers, business leaders and executives.
• They provide expertise on data science methodologies, algorithms, tools and best practices, and support proposal development and capture efforts.
• They stay current on the evolving data science landscape to identify emerging trends, technologies and best practices.
• They foster relationships with external partners, current and potential customers and across the organization.

Qualifications

Required:

• A Master’s degree in a relevant field like computer science, statistics, mathematics, or engineering.
• 3-5 years of Data Science experience
• A track record of successful project delivery, including the ability to develop IRAD concepts and pilots for customers.
• Experience leading and writing to technical solutions for RFI, Sources Sought and proposal efforts.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer relationship skills and the ability to communicate complex technical solutions simply and effectively.
• Attention to detail and the ability to develop projects and prototypes.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a clearance.

Preferred:

• Experience providing solutions adopted by Department of Defense clients.
• Experience working on projects in conjunction with or in support of the CDAO.
• Experience with AWS or Azure Analytics Services
