Job Summary: The LPHA Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the 24/7 mental health crisis diversion program within the City's 911 Call Center under the supervision of the Program Manager. This role ensures the safety and well-being of callers in crisis, supervising Mental Health Triage Specialists (MHTS) and providing effective crisis intervention support.

Regular, predictable attendance is considered to be an essential requirement for this position. Other duties may be assigned. May require a flexible work schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Mentor and Support MHTS: Directly supervise MHTS. Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to MHTS to ensure their growth and effectiveness, including developing Positive Performance Plans when necessary.

2. Quality Assurance: Monitor calls, review recordings, and offer feedback to staff for service quality improvement. This includes tracking productivity, ensuring accurate clinician documentation, and reviewing call recordings.

3. Training and Development: Contribute to the training and development of new MHTS to build a proficient and compassionate team. This includes conducting monthly supervision sessions with each MHTS. Assist crisis managers with Integral Care in training APD/TCSO/EMS personnel on effective de-escalation for persons in crisis.

4. Collaboration and Communication: Attend regular meetings with other supervisors and managers to address operational issues, staffing needs, and program enhancements. This includes collaborating with the Austin Police Department (APD), Travis County Sheriff's Office (TCSO), and Travis County EMS to ensure cooperation with call takers.

5. Crisis Intervention: Provide effective crisis intervention and support to individuals in need, which includes answering calls based on staffing levels, as required, and offering de-escalation services to individuals calling 911 in distress while law enforcement is enroute.

6. Direct Call Transfers: Receive and respond to direct transfers of calls from individuals seeking mental health assistance via 911 or telehealth.

7. Technology Proficiency: Utilize technology tools such as Austin Police Department Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), Integral Care electronic health record, Microsoft Teams for telehealth, and Office 365 for optimal service delivery.

8. Crisis On-Call Responsibilities: LPHA Supervisor will actively participate in the crisis on-call rotation for all crisis teams at Integral Care, providing guidance, support, and expertise during critical situations to ensure a consistent and reliable response to individuals in crisis across the organization.

Education: 

Required:

• Graduated from an accredited college or university with a Master's degree with a major specialization in Human/Behavioral/Social Services or related field.

License:

Required:

• Current and valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts (LPHA), LPC, LCSW, Licensed Psychologist, or LMFT.

Hours: Full-Time. 

Workhours: 2:00PM-12:00AM.

Workdays: Monday-Friday.

Salary: $72,127 - $91,954 annually based on years of licensure.

Position is eligible for differential pay.

• Second Shift: $3.25 
• Third Shift: $4.25
• Weekend Shift: $5.00
