Job Title
Machine Operator- Manufacturing
Job Summary
We are currently working with a client that is an injection molding company that services the Food, Consumer Goods, Dispensers, and Appliance industries.

Responsibilities
Ensures company standards for safety, quality and customer satisfaction are met or exceeded
Operates most plastic injection mold machines (semi-automatic and automatic) to quality produce parts
Verifies correct supplies are at the press per job book
Utilizes complex pneumatic handheld tools
Visually inspect all parts and sort parts for regrind as needed
Maintains an updated Production Control Board (PCB) with detailed information on down times and accurate logs of production / scrap created hourly
Reduces scrap by alerting Process Technicians when scrap levels are out of tolerance
Utilizes measurement tools to ensure part quality is acceptable per job book (i.e. : fixtures)
Responsible for packing quality parts and Quality at the Source
Performs required steps of secondary operations with the use of job book
Builds boxes, packaging, and labels parts for shipment to customers
Ensure removal of old part and shipping labels on packaging containers
Maintains clean workstation and continuously practices housekeeping standards
Records daily information for scrap completes daily scrap production report
Wears required PPE at all times
Identities potential workplace hazards and reports concern immediately to leadership
Performs rework duties
Maintain good attendance and be in good standings with point system
Performs all other assignments as required
Qualifications
High school diploma / GED (preferred but not required)
Basic math skills
Understanding of measurement
Basic English reading ability and comprehension to understand instructions in job books
Able to work overtime hours according to business need
Able to lift 55lbs. up to shoulder height daily on an on-going basis without assistance
Able to lift 50lbs. above head occasionally
Push, pull, bend, twist, and stoop on an on-going basis
Grip and hold parts and hand tools continuously (8 hours)
Use miscellaneous hand tools including manual, pneumatic, and powered
Ability to work with small parts down to a bolt size of ¼ in diameter
Good hand and wrist dexterity
Visually inspect all parts
Stand and walk for extended periods of time
Work Environment
A position as a machine operator is required to conduct business on the manufacturing floor. While performing the duties of a machine operator, the employee may work near moving mechanical parts and could be exposed to chemical or electrical shock risk.
The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, extreme heat, and noise levels that are typically moderate.
