The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $95,000 and $102,000/year*

Duties and Responsibilities (includes but is not limited to)

• Provide 2nd level support for Clearing System production applications including:

• Troubleshoot Clearing application problems utilizing hands-on unix and oracle techniques.
• Perform daily Clearing System support procedures,
• Handle Clearing System user requests, ad hoc queries, and reports
• Review audit trails,
• Log user problems and following up on their resolution
• Interface with users and development to investigate problems and escalate when necessary
• Write documentation including procedures, implementation instructions, incident recaps.
• Participate in the planning of, documentation of and implementation of Disaster Recovery exercises, Application release and upgrades, Third Party software upgrades

Required Technical Skills

• Excellent UNIX/Linux skills, including basic scripting, file editing, system resource monitoring, running and scheduling processes and troubleshooting system issues.
• Ability to write and run Transact-SQL,
• Knowledge of relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server preferred)
• Exposure to source code control and / or release management
• Exposer to scheduling products, such as Autosys or crontab
• Strong MS Office products (strong MS Excel skills),

Organizational Skills Expected

• BS in MIS, Computer Science or Finance
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Good analytical abilities (e.g., ability to review different sources of information (logs, sql queries, application screens, and put together information to troubleshoot application issues.)
• Ability to multi-task.
