Shift and Time: 8a-4:30p M-F

Schedule Details: 8 hour days

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Client Cancellation: The client allowed 1 cancel per 2-week pay period.
• Experience Required: Hospital Billing/Insurance Specialist, Hospital Claims and Denials, Healthcare Insurance Company experience.
• Great customer service skills.
• Certificates Preferred: High School Diploma or GED

Position Specific Details:

• Contacts insurance companies and/or patients regarding past due bills as identified by the monthly past due ques (insurance and self pay).
• Works at risk insurance que and sends past due accounts to collections as needed with appropriate calls.
• Reviews encounters before recommending adjustments, refunds, bad debt/collections, or financial assistance.
• Follows up with Insurance Financial Counselors when needed to resolve the encounter. Follows departmental procedures and guidelines to ensure the prompt and accurate resolution for accounts in keeping with our commitment to Compliance.
• Demonstrates proficiency with office equipment, computer programs, and web sites necessary to perform duties (e.g. Cerner,
• Outlook, Medicare, Medicaid, Word, Excel, other insurance and work related web sites).
• Initializes documentation of patient complaints/concerns/inquiries. Follows through on commitments to customer

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
