Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Claims Examiner to join our team. The Claims Examiner will be responsible for reviewing and processing medical claims to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities:

- Review and analyze medical claims for accuracy and completeness
- Verify coding and billing accuracy based on medical records
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues with claims
- Communicate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and policyholders regarding claim status
- Utilize medical terminology and coding systems such as ICD-9, DRG, etc.
- Maintain updated knowledge of medical billing practices and regulations
- Collaborate with the medical office staff to ensure proper claim submission and processing
- Assist in medical collections processes when necessary

Requirements:

- Previous experience in medical coding, billing, or claims examination
- Familiarity with medical terminology and coding systems
- Proficiency in using computer systems for claims processing
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
