Installed Building Products is Hiring a Delivery Driver Near Paterson, NJ

Job Description

We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Box Truck Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in route/material deliveries and a proven track record of safe and efficient driving. As a Box Truck Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods to designated locations while ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. If you are a dedicated and detail-oriented professional with excellent driving skills, we invite you to apply for this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Safely maneuver a 26' box truck to efficiently transport goods and products to designated locations.
  • Plan and follow the most efficient routes to ensure on-time deliveries
  • Load and unload merchandise from the truck using appropriate equipment and techniques
  • Verify and confirm the accuracy of delivery orders with customers
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on the vehicle
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and delivery receipts
  • Communicate with the dispatch team and customers to provide updates on delivery status
  • Handle any customer inquiries or concerns in a professional and courteous manner
  • Follow company policies and procedures regarding delivery schedules and protocols

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a box truck or delivery driver
  • Knowledge of local traffic laws and routes
  • Excellent driving skills and a strong commitment to safety
  • Ability to handle physical demands of loading and unloading goods
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Basic math skills for verifying order quantities and handling cash transactions
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in completing delivery paperwork
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions
  • Flexible schedule with the willingness to work occasional weekends or overtime
