INSPIRE seeks a Senior Software Engineer to work on our Digital Services team in Buffalo, NY to design, develop, and maintain software-based solutions to the meetings & events industry.

Responsibilities/Skills:

• Collaborate with Digital Services leadership on technology architecture, project roadmap, and team goals.
• Professionally maintain all software and create updates regularly to address customer and company
• concerns.
• Help maintain code quality and organization with peer code review and automated testing.
• Analyze code for weaknesses and errors, and present detailed plans to improve them.
• Strong sense of team collaboration, as well as ability to work independently and meet deadlines with or
• without supervision.
• Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers.
• Must be detail oriented and quality driven.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other equivalent degree/experience.
• Minimum 7 years of full-time Ruby on Rails experience.
• Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong individual contribution and effective team contributor.
• Extensive knowledge of software development life cycle, web application development, and project management.
• Experience with source code management and issue tracking systems (GitHub, GitLab, Jira, etc.).
• Experience with relational and NoSQL database structures (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, etc.).
• Experience with event streaming (Apache Kafka, Amazon SQS, etc.).
• Experience with API integration between internal and third-party systems.

Pay Range: $115,000 – $130,000
