Inspire Brands is Hiring a Remote Manager, International Supply Chain Quality Assurance (Remote Eligible)

To manage and maintain an international, industry-leading quality and food safety management systems throughout the Inspire Brands International supply chain, delivering quality (inclusive of food safety) and risk management, mitigation, and focused improvement. Ensuring the protection of our consumers, franchisees, and brands through execution of supplier and product approval based on risk assessment and measurement of ongoing performance to standards.
The ideal candidate sits within our Boston Support Center or our Atlanta Support Center. Remote eligibility can be considered and therefore we encourage you to apply.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain, implement, and execute systems for the management of

    supplier approval based on risk and quality and food safety performance, including:

  • Evaluate suppliers for QA qualification for the Inspire supply chain in accordance with Innovation to Market, New Market Entry and Supply Chain demands and project timelines.

  • Ensure all suppliers are risk assessed and approved in accordance with Inspire policies and quality management system & standards

    requirements.

  • Measure, analyze, and report supplier risk, and quality performance through systems audits, certifications, specification compliance, KPIs, complaints, defect rates, and any other applicable performance measures.

  • Establish supplier performance indicators and controls to mitigate risks.

  • Support, enable, and execute quality requirements and verification of suppliers as part of the oversight of licensee/franchisee local sourcing within Inspire QA policies.

  • Lead continuous improvement, corrective and preventative actions, and another focused improvement with suppliers as necessary.

  • Maintaining processes and procedures for effectively reporting supplier of performance.

  • Provide technical and subject matter expertise as required.

  • Monitor, review, assign disposition communicate, and resolve

    product/supplier-related complaints and incidents.

  • Support and/or lead international supplier manufacturing plant start-up and related start-up activities as needed k. Interface with supplier QA contacts, Franchisees, and regulators for all quality and food safety matters.

  • Identify and maintain such 3rd Party relationships and support providers, inclusive of identification, capability assessment, qualifications, ongoing performance, and calibration to brand standards and requirements.

  • Maintain and execute product risk analysis and process and procedures for product approval, including:

  • Execute processes and procedures in accordance with Inspire policies and quality management systems for product approval.

  • Monitor, risk assess, respond to, and resolve product complaints in

    accordance with Inspire policies and procedures.

  • Execute product quality evaluation and compliance verification processes and performance optimization and communication.

  • Ensure quality role within the new market entry and innovation to market projects are executed right first time and on-time.

  • Lead quality by design within the innovation-to-market process

  • Contribute to supply chain cost, capacity and contingency projects as required with supplier qualification processes and procedures.

  • Maintain effective two-way dialogue to ensure teams/stakeholders

    engaged and informed.

  • Link with stakeholders to gain cross-functional support for the product

    quality improvement initiatives.

  • Execute supply chain interventions as necessary to ensure product-related incidents

  • Execute systems and processes for Specifications Life Management:

  • Ensures systems are in place to manage and maintain current

    specifications with suppliers.

  • Ensures the basis for managing product quality for key products is defined in product specifications.

  • Ensures processes for specification creation, review, and approval are executed and maintained.

  • Ensures current specifications are communicated to and agreed with Suppliers.

  • Ensure process and procedures specification change management is established and executed.

  • Support quality systems and standards for continuous improvement

  • Contribute to systems and standards landscape analysis and best

    practice discovery.

  • Support and contribute to systems optimization initiatives and

    projects.

  • Ensure standards, processes, and procedures are documented, communicated, and always maintained current. d. Support systems user training, calibration, and qualification

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum: 4-year degree in Food Science, Biology, Engineering, Medical Sciences
  • Preferred: Certification in Lead Auditor, HACCP Quality Manager
  • Minimum: 3-7 Years ofExperience in a food manufacturing quality assurance role or related food industry experience managing quality assurance/food safety programs and/or manufacturing systems
  • The ideal candidate will have direct food facility auditing experience

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, OR ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of:
  • Principles and practical application of Hazard Analysis of Critical Control Points, (HACCP)
  • Good Manufacturing Practices, (GMPs)
  • ISO Standards
  • US FDA/USDA regulations, Canadian food mfg criteria, and regulations (CFIA, etc),& International Food Regulations
  • Continuous improvement methodologies (example: Lean, TPM, TQM & Six Sigma)
  • Statistical Process Control
  • Sanitation in food manufacturing processes
  • General microbiology.
  • Skills in:
  • Supplier systems auditing (recognized certification)
  • Principles and practice of change management
  • Principles and applied application of continuous improvement
  • Systems development and deployment in the food manufacturing industry
  • Data analysis
