MAJOR FUNCTION:

Performs needs analysis, designs, develops, coordinates, and promotes computer education programs for clinical informatics related projects and other organizational training as assigned, using a variety of delivery techniques including classroom and web-based training. Acts as a consultant and/or facilitator to enable different projects and/or departments to meet their computer training goals and requirements. Contributes to the learning experience of students, providing hands-on learning opportunities. Maintains records of individual employees computer education participation. Coordinates, schedules, and maintains computer training resources.

QUALIFICATION:

A. Education: Bachelor’s degree - Nursing, Education, Instructional Design, Computer Science or related area. Degree in Nursing Informatics preferred.

B. Experience: Prior experience in developing and delivering professional education and/or instructional design with program facilitation in an acute/critical healthcare setting with demonstrated leadership capacity required. Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills required. Proven experience in project management, time management, and teamwork skills. Experience working with PC workstations, using application software such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, Publisher, Internet Explorer.

C. Certification/Licensure: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse preferred.
