Cross trained to assist in all areas and functions of patient registration on an as needed basis. Primary duties to include completion of ED patient transitions to observation and/or inpatient units for all patient types in the Soarian Financials registration system in a timely manner, for assigned hospital sites. Ensures Moon and Non-Medicare Observation forms has been completed and signed copy is in patient chart. Re-verifies insurance coverage through automated eligibility system, HDX, NaviNet, Waystar/ Recondo prior to completing the transition or pre-registering the patient for a direct admission. Ensures authorization is listed in Soarian Financials insurance referrals/auth tab, prior to completing the pre-registration for all direct admissions. If authorization is not present, reaches out to doctor’s office to obtain it. Candidate will be first line of contact for nursing units calling with questions related to patient transitions to observation/admissions, generation of patient face sheet, labels and ID bands. Acts as Resource for Vineland staff call off’s and obtaining coverage as needed. Additionally, performs QA functions on staff registrations (all sites), when time permits.
