Cogir Senior Living (formerly Cadence Living) is hiring a caring, empathetic, and diligent Lead Med Tech to join the team in our beautiful retirement community Inspira Gateway.

Our Medication Care Partners (Certified Caregivers) provide direct care to our senior residents following a personalized medication and treatment plan in a unique setting. As a Lead Med-tech, you will provide care, administer medications to our residents, and support our Resident Services Director with some light administrative duties, including scheduling for our care staff (2 days a week). The job is 80% care and 20% office work. The schedule is on the swing or 2nd shift (evenings).

What will you do as a Lead Medication Care Partner?

• Provide compassionate care and support with activities of daily living to the residents in a team setting.
• Assist the residents with daily administration of medication, including self-administration.
• Keep charting documentation current and report resident status changes.
• Coordinate medication orders and deliveries with pharmacies.
• Keep medication files and medical records current and up to date.
• Maintain a "mentor" attitude and assist with new team member training.
• Prioritize independence and provide emotional support to the residents by providing continuous engagement, and companionship.
• Encourage and assist with participation in life enrichment activity programs.
• Promote open communication between healthcare professionals, families, residents, and staff.

If you have these qualifications, we'd love to chat:

• Positive team player attitude and love working with people!
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• A minimum of 1 year of caregiving experience, including giving medication in a community setting is preferred.
• Experience with Memory Care is a plus.
• A current Certified Caregiver license in Arizona.
• Current First Aid and CPR certificate or ability to obtain.
• Previous experience working in Independent Living (IL), Assisted Living (AL), Memory Care (MC), or Senior Living experience is a plus!
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
