Operations and Facilities Manager

We're seeking a passionate Operations & Facilities Manager to join our client’s conservation family and champion the cause of perpetual preservation.
As a conservancy, our client promotes conservation ethics and demonstrates the resilience of nature in perpetuity, offering a rare glimpse into what a century of regeneration looks like in the East Texas Piney Woods. The transformation of the once clear-cut, overgrazed working ranch into an award-winning nature conservancy exemplifies extraordinary habitat management and wildlife conservation on private land. They champion conservation and land stewardship ethics, serving as a demonstration site. It oversees about 7,100 fenced acres, an event space, and five houses on conservation land. They own a sizable private compound with a lodge, thirteen accommodations, two barns, a family cemetery, and a historic house from 1890.
As the Operations and Facilities Manager, you will be a vital member of the leadership team overseeing all operational and facility needs of the lands, including equipment and facilities maintenance, coordination and oversight of all operational contractors, and on-site staff management. You will be expected to collaborate with the Vice President to ensure seamless operations of all activities. You will provide oversight, management, and maintenance of the extensive property and associated physical infrastructure, conduct operations by the goals and objectives of the company’s oversight committees, and be responsible for identifying, recommending, and implementing approved improvements related to infrastructure and field operations. You will also coordinate staff and resources to ensure hospitality activities (hosting conferences, tours, family gatherings, etc.) are conducted professionally and thoughtfully, consistent with the sustainability mission.
