Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Verification Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical records, insurance verification, and office administration within a healthcare setting.

Duties:
- Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits
- Communicate with insurance companies to obtain pre-authorizations and verify claim status
- Update patient records with accurate insurance information
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations in handling patient information
- Collaborate with medical and billing staff to resolve insurance-related issues
- Maintain knowledge of managed care plans and insurance policies
- Familiarity with ICD-10 coding and medical terminology

Skills:
The successful candidate should possess the following skills:
- Proficiency in medical records management and insurance verification processes
- Experience working in a medical or dental office environment
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy laws
- Familiarity with managed care plans and insurance procedures
- Understanding of ICD-10 coding and medical terminology

Background and understanding of insurance verification specifically in mental health care is a plus!

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.75 - $23.75 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
