A client of Insight Global's is hiring for a Risk Adjustment Coder in the state of Florida! The risk adjustment coder will be responsible for:

-Acting as an internal resource for the outpatient group professional service coding and documentation education

-Performing medical record audits to ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state and local regulations, as well as with institutional/organizational standards, practices, policies and procedures
-Assisting with the creation of specialty or individual provider tip sheets and virtual/onsite presentations when necessary

-Translating patient histories, symptoms, diagnoses and treatments into codes using HCC coding

-Providing guidance and advice for reporting policies mandated by government entities and other payers for completion of coded data

Must Have:

• 3 years experience in Physician/professional service coding
• Experience with medicare risk adjustment coding and HCC coding
• Strong understanding of healthcare operations and risk adjustment data
• Valid CPC certification through the AAPC
• Extensive knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 guidelines and principles.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $53,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
