- GENERAL SUMMARY: Plans, organizes, controls, and supervises activities in hospital outpatient pharmacy according to hospital policies, standards of practice of the profession, and State and Federal laws. Recommends innovations in the practice and function of the hospital pharmacy to the Outpatient Pharmacy Manager and carries out mutually agreed upon programs. These duties are to be performed in a highly confidential manner, in accordance with the mission, values and behaviors of Insight Chicago Pharmacy. Employees are further expected to provide a high quality of care, service, and kindness toward all patients, staff, physicians, volunteers and guests.

| Ensures strict control and accountability for medications dispensed to patients. | 35 |
| Ensures compliance with health system policies and procedures that apply to pharmacy services. Ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations | 10 |
| Continuously evaluates the quality of services and/or products provided to the department’s customers. | 10 |

| Abilities: | Repetitive use of hand and fingers (e.g., use of a computer keyboard). May require lifting and carrying light loads (up to 40 lbs and stooping, kneeling, or reaching (e.g., to pick up items from the floor, to remove and replace items on low and high shelving, and to file documents in lower file drawers). Sitting, walking or standing for long periods of time (4-8 hours) is often necessary. Must be able to physically operate the equipment used for the job.
