Emergency Medical Technician
Insight Chicago & Medical is currently seeking Emergency Medical Technician to work in the ER:
- Establishes and maintains open communication; relays pertinent information to staff members in own department or other departments; assures information is accurate and complete.
- Reports and records vital signs, tests, procedures, and pertinent data and observations related to patient care duties within scope of practice.
- Provides written instructions and/or educational materials to patients and family members; reinforces written materials provided by physician, mid-level provider, or registered nurse.
- Utilizes universal precautions during patient care, and related activities; maintains awareness of infection control and emergency preparedness procedures.
- Participates in economical utilization of supplies; assures that emergency equipment and supply inventories are maintained and available for use.
- Assists, if applicable, in orienting, training, and providing performance feedback on emergency department tech staff.
- Minimum three (3) months of experience in health care delivery or current nursing student and completed at least one semester of clinical practicum. Education
High school diploma or equivalent (GED). Completion of training as Emergency Medical Technician - Basic (EMT-B),
