Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Sr. Network Engineer to join a federal contracting company located in Hampton, VA for a 100% onsite (9-3 core hours) opportunity. The Sr. Network Engineer will support the Air Force/ Air Defense Communications Service contract (4th iteration) by providing network engineering solution development, building engineering plans, integrating and upgrading equipment, and creating documents for proposals and task order work.

Responsibilities of the Sr. Network Engineer:

- Act as a key team member for project delivery, collaborating with project managers, analysts, and senior engineers

- Analyze customer requirements, providing innovative solutions to complex problems

- Expert in maintaining and upgrading networks, ensuring compliance with policies

- Develop advanced solutions for complex engineering problems, from design to integration

- Continual maintenance and advanced solutions for security, backup, and redundancy issues

- Maintain documentation for engineering projects and stay updated on evolving technologies

- Lead and manage task order engineering projects, mentor junior engineers

Qualifications for the Sr. Network Engineer:

- 5 years of experience in network engineering with a Bachelors Degree (or 8 years of experience with no degree)

- At least 2 years of hands-on network (routers, switches, firewall, etc.) design and configuration experience

-Cisco environment experience required

-Experience leading and managing task order type engineering project work.

-Experience working on project teams and overseeing and mentoring junior engineers

- Sec certification

- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or higher

- Clearance: at least an active Secret clearance (Can hold up to TS/SCI)

Compensation:

-Salary: $135,000- $150,000 / year ***DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE***

-Benefits: full health, dental, and vision insurance.

-Term: 6-month CTH with a conversion to Prime as FTE upon 6 months
