Job Overview:
Registered Nurse - APU supporting Walter Reed Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD.

This person will be responsible for assessing, coordinating, facilitating, delivering and evaluating care for infant to geriatric patients using the nursing process. It is important that this person has a strong knowledge of a wide range of medical disorders/conditions, diagnostic studies and treatments related to prevention, and detection of illnesses in adults. This person must be knowledgeable in professional care theories, principles, practices, and procedures to perform nursing assignments of moderate difficulty, such as on patients with special needs, paralysis, amputations, and expressive disorders. Finally, they will provide a scope of care that includes emphasis on evaluation, management, and education of patients undergoing Anesthesia (general, regional, or local), Monitored Anesthesia Care (MAC) or Moderate Sedation.

Desired Skillset:

-Has at least two current years of experience as a Medical-Surgical Nurse on an inpatient surgery ward or outpatient surgery center

-Holds a Bachelor of Nursing from an accredited nursing school

-Holds Active Registered Board of Nursing License for any state in the United States, District of Columbia, or Commonwealth of Puerto Rico

-Holds Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
