Title: Mechanical Technician
Location: Irvine, CA
Shift: Monday- Friday (either 2nd or 3rd Shift)
2nd Shift Hours: 3:30pm-12am
3rd Shift Hours: 12am-7am (But paid for 8 hours)
Job Purpose/Summary:
Responsible for the Assembly, Inspection, Repair and Troubleshooting of both mechanical and electrical components on advanced rotorcraft, test and support equipment. This position will ensure the safe execution of assembly, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, preventative maintenance, inspections, functional testing, and troubleshooting in accordance with applicable Supernal and industry guidelines.
Responsibilities and Duties
Interface with Program & Project Leaders, Engineering, Safety, Quality Management, Procurement, Program Management Office, and Test organization members in support of the following responsibilities:
- Aircraft Minor and Major Modifications
- Routine / Preventative Maintenance
- Test Article Build Up and Maintenance
- Trouble Shooting of Aircraft and Test Systems
- Composite Repairs and Build Up
- Sheetmetal Assembly and Fabrication
- Close Tolerance Fastner Installation
- Electrical Assembly and Repair
- Fluid System Assembly and Repair
- Must maintain a clean working environment at all times.
- Responsible for accurately completing all required paperwork.
- Must be familiar with standard and non-standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the aviation field.
- Performs build-up and maintenance, ensuring that quality objectives, configuration control, and conformity requirements are met.
Education/Experience:
- Minimum GED or HS diploma required; college degree preferred.
- 5 Years of experience as an Aviation Technician
- Flight Operations Experience Preferred
- Rotorcraft Experience Preferred
- Experimental Flight Test Experience Preferred.

- Knowledge High / Low Voltage Power Systems and Safe Working Practices
- Composite Assembly and Repair
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Must have the ability to independently prioritize and accomplish work within time constraints.
- Self-motivated and forward-thinking personality
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite
- Willing to Travel
Licenses / Certifications:
- Airframe and Power Plant License Preferred
