Job responsibilities include:

• Preparing patient electronic health records for office patients
• Assisting physicians with patient teaching and follow up
• During in-person office hours: Check patients in, collect co-pays, room patients, and check-out.
• During COVID-19 protocol, assist physician with telemed preparation and follow up.
• Answering telephone calls and triage according to practice policy
• Complete prior authorizations for testing ordered during appointments.

Qualifications:

• Medical Assistant training required
• 1-year Medical Assistant Experience in a physicians’ office setting
• Strong patient care and communication skills
• Must be able to multi-task in a busy environment while being a team player
• Reliable transportation required.
• Electronic health record experience required. Allscripts PRO EHR experience preferred.
• Travel to satellite office location may be required.
• Gastroenterology experience a plus
