Job Details Part time position - varied shifts Responsibilities: Transcribe and type Pathology and Autopsy reports in addition to recording, disseminating, coding, and filing the reports. Type statistical data and letters for the Laboratory Administrative Director, Medical Director, and Pathologists, as required. Maintains equipment and ensures that departmental supplies are stocked and well maintained. Notifies area supervisor when insufficient. Employee is able to provide verbal and written educational material to patients when appropriate. Attends continuing education programs on-site and off-site. Demonstrates knowledge of service priorities, workflow patterns. Monitors workflow to assure prompt and efficient delivery of services. Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent required One year experience in typing/transcribing in hospital or related work environment desired Knowledge of medical terminology Salary Range USD $26.60 - USD $33.25 /Hr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidates qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.
