Job Description:

Our client is looking for a Controls Automation Technician with the ability to execute and prioritize tasks to get the job to completion. Perform and verify completion of complex installation, startup, and commissioning of building automation system equipment across the Fort Leonard Wood Military Base.

Basic Qualifications:

• 3 years’ experience installing and servicing building automation/HVAC controls
• Extensive knowledge of a variety of electronic or digital controls systems, and ability to test and write modifications to system software in multiple languages
• Skilled in programming, job start-up, checkout, and troubleshooting complex projects
• Demonstrated experience in the integration of low-voltage building sub-systems using various industry protocols such as BACnet, N2, Modbus, etc.
• Be able to work in a variety of environments in and around mechanical equipment, including climbing ladders, scaffolds, and high-lift equipment, working in ducts, above ceilings, and in outside/inside/heat/cold/day/night conditions; use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet; carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted

Plusses:

• Experience in writing computer programs and software applications related to the HVAC industry
• Air Handler startup, which includes ability to read and modify Siemens PPCL program language and verify sequence of operation.
• Experience in the integration of low voltage building sub-systems using various industry protocols, such as BACnet, i.e., CRAC units, refrigerant monitors, medgas, lighting panels, boiler and generator fuel panels and electric metering,

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
