Lifestyle Director - Master Planned Community

Reports To: Community Manager

Summary of Role: Lifestyle Director is responsible for planning and coordinating a varied and comprehensive lifestyle program for residents in a large master planned community in west Fort Worth. Extensive prior experience in a similar role is required.

About the Community: Walsh is one of the most sought-after and fastest-growing neighborhoods in East Parker County. Located in West Fort Worth, the community is known for offering an unparalleled lifestyle experience to its more than 2,500 residents, with great schools and countless resident amenities. Conveniently located at the intersection of the I-20 and I-30 interstates, this master-planned community is part of a 7,200-acre development consisting of a diverse blend of residential neighborhoods, town centers, mixed-use areas, and commercial spaces, poised to become a bustling hub of activity in the Fort Worth community.

As WALSH grows, residents and visitors will find more and more opportunities to enjoy entertainment, dining, and fitness. Current amenities include: The Village Market, a thoughtful general store for grab-and-go purchases catered to the community, which also includes a gas station. The Walsh Athletic Club, which features a state-of-the-art facility with outdoor sports courts, resort-style pools, water slides, a swim-up island, and a shaded baby pool. A six-lane junior Olympic lap pool accommodates athletes of all levels, hosting both competitive meets and recreational swimming.

For those interested in learning and creating, the Walsh Makerspace is a dedicated workshop with 3D printers, laser and CNC machines, woodworking tools, and more available to members. It offers classes for all ages and skill levels, and a maker-focused curriculum including guest lectures and demonstrations. This space provides the tools and resources needed for residents to make things and to make friends while doing so. Walsh also features a network of trails, community parks with playground spaces, recreational lakes, walk-in beaches at Lake Park, and more for residents of all ages to enjoy the outdoors.

Work Hours: Lifestyle Director shall work a 40-hour work week. Because the position requires that employee work non-traditional hours it is necessary to prepare a work schedule on a weekly basis and as determined by the following weeks event calendar. The Lifestyle Director shall provide the following weeks work schedule to the Community Manager no later than Wednesday of each week.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

Develop Lifestyle programming by:

  • Planning and organizing suitable group and individualized activities that are designed to maintain and improve the quality of life for all residents
  • Coordinate activities that cater to the association’s social, educational and physical activities of its residents

Review the Lifestyle programs and events by:

  • Assessing program outcomes by speaking with attendees, workers and vendors to ascertain areas of success or needed improvement
  • Evaluating resident needs and desires
  • Ensuring the program is delivered as planned by employees, volunteers and contracted vendors

First line supervision of the event, workers, volunteers and vendors

  • Maintain an accurate event information folder for each event and complete the event summary. Each event folder shall include by is not limited to the event summary sheet, all contracted vendor information, copies of all check requests and / or reimbursements, photos, any pertinent notes from phone calls and inquires pertaining to the event
  • Take photographs at each event. Photographs to include a broad prospective of event by documenting the overall setup as well as individual shots of attendees
  • Distribute all photographs and event summary to the Community Manager within two business days following the event
  • Work with the Community Manager, Board of Directors, Volunteers and Committees to prepare the next years calendar of events
