Solutions Consultant II

Job Details and Requirement :

BASIC FUNCTION :

The Solutions Consultant II is responsible for managing and delivering higher education solutions to a portfolio of clients.

The Solutions Consultant II will be responsible for understanding client's needs, developing and communicating strategies, selecting solutions, and mapping department processes.

This position will report directly to the Senior Director of Solutions.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

  • Consult and maintain relationships with a portfolio of departments to understand their needs and develop strategies to meet their requirements.
  • Review use cases, derive requirements, and identify project options to execute the strategy.
  • Manage and oversee selected projects, review and manage vendors, and select solutions.
  • Map department processes, plan and coordinate user training, and stakeholder meetings.
  • Determine configuration and integrations, manage efforts within fiscal and other resource constraints, and monitor project progress.
  • Analyze and refine project plans to ensure projects stay on track.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure projects are successful and delivered on time.
  • Provide regular project updates and reports to stakeholders.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices.
  • Assist with other related tasks as needed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :

EDUCATION : Bachelor’s degree in Arts or Sciences with preference for significant background in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields, OR equivalent experience.

EXPERIENCE : 3-5 years of experience in Higher Education Solutions or related fields.

LICENSES : Possess and maintain a valid driver's license and driving record acceptable to the College's automobile insurance carrier.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES :

  • Knowledge of Higher Education processes and procedures.
  • Experience with project management and software development life cycle.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

REQUIRED HOURS : The regular hours for this full-time position are 8 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 00 p.m., Monday - Friday. Regular hours may vary due to the needs of the College or division.

Some evening and / or weekend work may be required to support campus programs and activities. Occasional requirements to work outside of standard business hours may be required to ensure timely responsiveness to our college community.

C LASSIFICATION AND STATUS :

This is a full-time, 12-month, year-round, exempt-level, benefits-eligible position.

This position is eligible for a $100.00 per month cell phone allowance.

ANTICIPATED SALARY RANGE :

$72,000 - $75,000 PER YEAR

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS : Normal physical job functions performed within a standard office environment include reaching, fingering, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.

May occasionally lift / push / pull items up to 20 lbs.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY : No

BACKGROUND CHECK : The successful candidate will be required to undergo a full consumer background check. Certain positions will require the successful completion of a post-offer physical agility test.
